Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about importing Shopify products

How do I export products from Shopify?

In your Shopify admin, go to Products, click Export, and choose CSV format. You can export all products or a filtered selection. See Shopify's official guide for detailed steps.

What file formats are supported?

Photoship supports CSV and Excel (.xlsx) files. Shopify exports products as CSV by default, which works perfectly with our import tool.

Will my product images be imported?

If your CSV contains image URLs (as Shopify exports do), Photoship will download and attach them to your products automatically during import.

Can I import product variants?

Yes. Shopify's CSV export includes variant rows with size, color, and custom options. Photoship maps these during the import process.

Is this free?

Yes! Excel/CSV import is included in all plans, including the free plan. Upload your Shopify export and create catalogues at no cost.

How do I keep my catalogue updated?

Re-export from Shopify whenever your products change and upload the new file. The process takes just a few minutes.
